DUBAI: Yemen鈥檚 army made progress west of Taiz province in the south of Yemen on Tuesday, Saudi state-news channel Al-Ekhbariya reported.
In a statement issued to the Yemeni Defense Ministry official website, military sources said 鈥渢he national army launched early morning operations on Houthi militia positions in Taiz.鈥�
During the operation, the army reclaimed control of strategic mountains after fierce clashes broke out with the militia, resulting in dozens of militant deaths.
