Artificial intelligence has emerged as a cornerstone of innovation and economic transformation globally, and in 萝莉视频, its impact is both profound and far-reaching.

As the Kingdom embarks on a journey to realize the goals of Vision 2030, AI is playing a pivotal role in driving progress, fostering economic diversification, and empowering organizations to embrace the future of technology.

At the heart of Vision 2030 lies a commitment to harnessing cutting-edge technologies such as AI to build a knowledge-based economy and establish 萝莉视频 as a leading global hub of innovation.

The recently announced Riyadh Declaration underscores the importance of AI as a transformative force. It emphasizes the need for AI technologies to enable digital access, enhance digital knowledge, and tackle global challenges while creating economic value.

This vision aligns seamlessly with 萝莉视频鈥檚 plans to invest $100 billion in establishing a world-class AI technology hub under the banner of 鈥淧roject Transcendence.鈥

This initiative promises to bring together expertise, infrastructure, and innovation to position the Kingdom at the forefront of AI advancements.

Adding to this momentum is GAIA, 萝莉视频鈥檚 generative AI startup accelerator program. Launched in Riyadh in May 2023, GAIA represents a bold step toward nurturing a vibrant AI ecosystem by empowering startups and innovators to develop groundbreaking solutions.

Similarly, Waed Ventures, Saudi Aramco鈥檚 venture capital arm, has allocated $100 million to invest in AI startups, further solidifying the Kingdom鈥檚 commitment to building a thriving technological landscape.

Notably, Aramco鈥檚 METABRAIN 鈥 a 250 billion parameter large language model 鈥 stands as a testament to 萝莉视频鈥檚 ambition to lead in AI innovation, showcasing the potential to revolutionize industries and create unparalleled value.

The potential impact of AI on 萝莉视频鈥檚 economy is substantial. A PwC report estimates that AI could contribute $135 billion to the Kingdom鈥檚 gross domestic product by 2030, a significant portion of the nation鈥檚 economic growth.

This transformative potential is already becoming a reality as organizations of all sizes and across all sectors embrace AI to optimize operations, drive growth, and accelerate progress toward Vision 2030.

In manufacturing, for instance, Obeikan Investment Group leveraged Azure OpenAI and IoT technologies to develop and implement a smart factory platform across 22 of the company鈥檚 factories.

As a result, the organization achieved a 30 percent increase in overall equipment effectiveness, a 30 percent reduction in costs, as well as significant reductions in waste and energy consumption.

Similarly, the 萝莉视频n Mining Co. (Ma鈥檃den), the largest mining company in the Middle East, adopted Microsoft 365 Copilot to help employees spend less time on administrative tasks and instead focus on more strategic tasks out in the field.

Over a period of six months, employees were able to significantly enhance their productivity, saving around 27 minutes per day that were previously spent on unnecessary meetings, 14 minutes on searching for and summarizing documents, and 18 minutes on creating high-quality content.

In education, Gameit, an innovative Saudi startup, leveraged Azure OpenAI to develop AI-powered games that enhance cognitive skills such as attention, memory, logical reasoning, auditory and visual perception, and social skills in children.

With our investments in a new cloud datacenter region, we are providing the foundation for Saudi organizations to innovate and lead in the era of AI.

The games are scientifically designed to help all school students, including those facing learning challenges.

Meanwhile, Diriyah, the historic birthplace of the first Saudi state and home to the UNESCO World Heritage site of At-Turaif, utilized the advanced capabilities of Copilot Studio to develop and deploy the 鈥淐XQA AI Agent,鈥 which is empowering its teams to enhance customer experiences, analyze data to uncover key trends, develop tailored solutions, and efficiently manage complex on-site operations.

Such use cases highlight the transformative potential of AI in addressing complex challenges, fostering innovation, and delivering tangible benefits to society.

As a longstanding partner in 萝莉视频鈥檚 digital transformation journey, Microsoft is deeply committed to empowering organizations to leverage the latest advancements in AI and other transformative technologies to achieve their goals.

Our investments in the Kingdom reflect this commitment, specifically the construction of a new cloud datacenter region that will empower businesses with access to scalable, highly secure, and resilient cloud services.

Recently, we completed construction of three Azure Availability Zones, which will serve as the necessary foundation for AI innovation, enabling organizations to access the latest AI technologies and services with enhanced security and reliability.

Our collaborations with leading Saudi organizations further underscore our dedication to fostering a vibrant technological ecosystem.

By partnering with government entities, enterprises, and startups, we aim to create solutions that drive innovation, attract global investments, and position 萝莉视频 as a global hub for technology and talent.

As 萝莉视频 continues its journey toward realizing Vision 2030, AI stands as a powerful catalyst for change. The Kingdom鈥檚 bold investments in AI infrastructure, startups, and innovation are not just setting the stage for the future 鈥 they are defining it.

We have seen how organizations like Obeikan, Ma鈥檃den, Gameit, and Diriyah are already reaping the tangible benefits of AI, from increased efficiency and cost savings to enhanced customer experiences and educational advancements.

This is not a distant vision; it is the reality unfolding now.

With such undeniable momentum, the time to embrace AI at scale is not tomorrow, but today. The opportunities for transformation are vast, and the potential to contribute to 萝莉视频鈥檚 goals is immense. Don鈥檛 just observe the AI revolution; be a part of it.

Microsoft stands ready to support everyone on this journey, empowering organizations to navigate the complexities of the digital age, accelerate their AI transformation, and unlock new opportunities for growth and prosperity.

With our investments in a new cloud datacenter region, we are providing the foundation for Saudi organizations to innovate and lead in the era of AI.

We look forward to the road ahead as we help accelerate progress toward Vision 2030 and build a more prosperous and sustainable future for the Kingdom.

Makkah鈥檚 911 is truly a friend in need

Makkah鈥檚 911 is truly a friend in need

MINA: Whether you have lost your way, misplaced a valuable item, or faced a moment of danger in the Makkah region, you can simply call 911, and the first thing you will hear is, 鈥淗ow can I help you?鈥

However, behind that simple question stands an army of skilled operators and a vast, sophisticated system 鈥 the Unified Security Operations Center 911 in the Makkah region, a key division of the National Center for Security Operations under the Saudi Ministry of Interior.

The center is a vital yet often unseen component of public safety, responsible for coordinating emergency responses. Its role becomes especially crucial during major events like the annual Hajj pilgrimage.

Normally, the center includes representatives from around 15 security and service agencies, but this number can increase to as many as 30 during Hajj to ensure the effective management of large crowds and potential emergencies.

Located just a few kilometers from the holy sites, the facility is divided into three core sections: the call-taking hall, the dispatch hall, and the surveillance hall, which oversees the city鈥檚 extensive network of security cameras.

Speaking to Arab News, Capt. Abdulaziz bin Zuhair Al-Ghamdi, spokesperson for the NCSO, said the center receives around 40,000 calls each day, noting that 80 percent are resolved directly by call takers without the need for further escalation.

鈥淢ost of the calls we get are from people asking questions about some of the rules we have like how and when to enter Makkah, or who is allowed to enter Makkah,鈥 Al-Ghamdi said.

During peak periods such as Hajj, the volume of calls increases. On Thursday, June 5 alone, the center handled 46,079 calls. Many of these came from pilgrims seeking assistance with finding their tents or requesting medical help.

Capt. Al-Ghamdi emphasized that only 20 percent of the calls require formal reports and are forwarded to specialized entities for further action.

鈥淎s you can see, the center is equipped with the most advanced technology. We answer calls in less than two seconds,鈥 he said.

In addition to speed, the center also ensures accessibility, and male and female call takers are trained to respond in multiple languages, including English, French, and Urdu, to assist the diverse population of pilgrims and residents seeking help.

The spokesperson noted that once a call is received, the caller鈥檚 phone number, name, and location are immediately displayed on the center鈥檚 advanced monitoring screens. 鈥淚f there is a serious case, we fill out a form and submit it to the specialized department in less than 45 seconds,鈥 he added.

The NCSO oversees similar unified security operations centers in Riyadh, Madinah, and the Eastern Province. It is tasked with monitoring security developments across the Kingdom, analyzing threats, managing large-scale crises, and coordinating response efforts among various agencies.

Beyond reactive operations, the center proactively monitors daily developments, issues alerts to secure key installations and diplomatic missions, and coordinates security plans for national events.

In a city as densely populated and spiritually significant as Makkah, the responsibility is immense. But thanks to the unseen dedication of teams working around the clock, both residents and pilgrims benefit from a rapid and reassuring response when they need it most.

Behind every emergency call answered, there is a quiet promise of safety, delivered by professional men and women committed to protecting lives.

Israel says it has retrieved the body of a Thai hostage kidnapped into Gaza on Oct. 7, 2023

TEL AVIV: Israel says it has retrieved the body of a Thai hostage kidnapped into Gaza on Oct. 7, 2023.
The Prime Minister鈥檚 office said Saturday that the body of Thai citizen Nattapong Pinta was returned to Israel in a special military operation.
Pinta was kidnapped from Kibbutz Nir Oz and killed in captivity near the start of the war, said the government. Thais were the largest group of foreigners held captive by Hamas militants.
This comes two days after the bodies of two Israeli-American hostages were retrieved.
Fifty-five hostages remain in Gaza, of whom Israel says more than half are dead.
The defense minister said Saturday that Pinta鈥檚 body was retrieved from the Rafah area. He had come to Israel from Thailand to work in agriculture.
On Thursday, Israel retrieved the bodies of Judih Weinstein and Gad Haggai, both of whom had Israeli and US citizenship.
This comes as Israel continues its operation in Gaza. At least 22 people were killed by Israeli strikes overnight Friday into Saturday.

鈥淢ond鈥 is directed by Austrian filmmaker Kurdwin Ayub. The film follows former martial artist Sarah, who leaves Austria to train three sisters from a wealthy family in the Middle East.

What initially appears to be a dream job soon takes a darker turn: The young women are isolated from the outside world and placed under constant surveillance. They show little interest in sports 鈥 raising the question of why Sarah was hired in the first place.

Tayeh plays the role of Nour, one of the three sisters.

The actress, who is also known for her roles in Netflix鈥檚 hit series 鈥淎l-Rawabi School for Girls,鈥 has had a busy year collaborating with multiple brands and fronting their campaigns.

That same month, she was named the first Middle Eastern ambassador for French haircare brand Kerastase.

Labubu mania sweeps the UAE, CEO of The Little Things says

Labubu mania sweeps the UAE, CEO of The Little Things says

DUBAI: Once just a niche collectible from Asia, Labubus have now become the must-have accessory among youth, influencers and collectors of all ages.

Seen clutched in the hands of BLACKPINK鈥檚 Lisa and Ros茅, flaunted by Rihanna, and even making cameos in Kim Kardashian鈥檚 social media posts, Labubu has found its way into the UAE鈥檚 trend-savvy culture.

According to Hassan Tamimi, CEO of The Little Things, the UAE鈥檚 official POP MART retailer, the demand for Labubu has reached unprecedented levels.

鈥淟abubu has become more than a collectible here,鈥 Tamimi told Arab News Japan. 鈥淚t鈥檚 a lifestyle statement. We鈥檙e seeing people pair them with luxury handbags, sports cars, even use them in wedding shoots.鈥

But in a region known for its love of luxury and limited-edition goods, the blind box collectible has struck a chord, especially among Gen Z and millennial buyers seeking aesthetic, niche fandom items with resale value.

However, the spike in popularity has brought an unfortunate side effect: a flood of fake Labubu figures infiltrating the UAE market. Counterfeit toys, often dubbed 鈥淟afufu鈥 by collectors, have been circulating online via scam websites and unverified sellers.

鈥淲e鈥檝e had several customers walk into our stores with fake Labubus thinking they were real,鈥 Tamimi said. 鈥淚t鈥檚 heartbreaking, especially for those who paid high prices for something inauthentic.鈥

Tamimi warned buyers to look out for telltale signs: typos on packaging, incorrect paint colors, poor stitching on plushies, or even the wrong number of teeth, authentic Labubu figures always have exactly nine.

To meet the overwhelming demand while keeping things fair, The Little Things has implemented a strict one-piece-per-customer policy. The company has also increased restocking efforts and trained in-store staff to help collectors verify authenticity.

Tamimi also pointed out that Labubu鈥檚 appeal lies in the thrill of the hunt.

鈥淭he blind box format taps into that collector instinct, there鈥檚 excitement, suspense, and FOMO. You never know which figure you鈥檒l get, especially with rarer editions, and that makes each purchase feel like an event,鈥 he told Arab News Japan.

While Labubu has long been a cult favorite in Japan, Tamimi noted that the UAE is quickly becoming a hotspot in its own right. In Dubai and Abu Dhabi especially, Labubu fans are forming communities, trading figures and sharing unboxings and display setups online.

鈥淲hat鈥檚 happening here mirrors what we鈥檝e seen in Tokyo,鈥 he added. 鈥淭he only difference is access, Japan often gets first dibs on regional exclusives. But that scarcity is part of what makes collecting in the UAE so exciting.鈥

As for those looking to join the Labubu craze, Tamimi has one piece of advice: stick to official sellers.

鈥淚f it鈥檚 too cheap or too easy to find online, it鈥檚 probably fake. Trust verified stores. The magic of Labubu is in the real thing.鈥

Pakistan鈥檚 Punjab deploys over 43,000 police personnel for security on Eid Al-Adha
  • Punjab Police places province on 鈥渉igh alert鈥 amid deteriorating security situation across Pakistan
  • Police personnel deployed to secure 28,074 mosques and 890 open-air Eid prayer venues, says report

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan鈥檚 Punjab has deployed over 43,000 police officers and personnel across the province for the Eid Al-Adha holidays, state-run media reported, with police placing the province on high alert amid the prevalent security situation in the country.

As per a report in the state-run Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) on Friday, the police personnel have been deployed to secure 28,074 mosques and 890 open-air Eid prayer venues.

Pakistan has seen a surge in militant violence in recent months. Scores of citizens have been killed in the past in militant attacks that have targeted mosques and tourist destinations on public holidays.

鈥淎ccording to the Punjab Police spokesperson, a comprehensive security strategy has been formulated to ensure the safety of mosques, Imambargahs, Eid congregations, and the general public,鈥 APP said on Friday.

The report said 445 Quick Response Force (QRF) teams will be stationed to enhance security readiness while 11,912 metal detectors, 225 walk-through gates and 10,466 CCTV cameras will be utilized during Eid prayers.

In Punjab鈥檚 provincial capital Lahore, over 9,000 personnel will be assigned to secure more than 5,000 Eid gatherings, the spokesperson confirmed.

鈥淚nspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has ordered heightened security measures for Eid-ul-Adha, citing the current national security situation,鈥 the report said.

Additional police will be deployed at parks and recreational spots during the Eid holidays to ensure public safety.

The Punjab Police chief also issued a strict warning against one-wheeling, aerial firing, kite flying and rowdy behavior, the report said, stating such acts will not be tolerated.

He stressed all mosques, Imambargahs and Eid grounds must be thoroughly checked and cleared before Eid prayers. High-security mosques and Imambargahs (in category A) will have snipers posted on rooftops while plainclothes commandos will be deployed inside Eid congregations, the report said.

鈥淭he IG [inspector-general] also directed the Additional IG Traffic to personally oversee the traffic management plan across Punjab, ensuring smooth flow of traffic during Eid,鈥 APP said.

It said police have been ordered to take preventive measures to combat street crimes and highway robberies, while extra personnel will be posted at key locations to maintain traffic flow during the holidays.

鈥淪pecial instructions have been issued to ensure tourist safety in Murree and other tourist destinations,鈥 it said. 鈥淎uthorities are required to enforce SOPs for vehicle entry and exit in Murree, the IG added.鈥
